Children's Healthy Recipes with Alyssa
Introducing Alyssa, who at seven years old is going to be writing about healthy recipes, giving tips, and also sharing her favorite food-related jokes!
Hi I'm Alyssa. If you read my mother's article you have probably heard about me. I am here to tell you a little about me. In the near future I am going to give you easy, healthy, and delicious tips and recipes.
As strange as it may seem I started cooking at the age of two helping my mom make homemade applesauce. I put apples into the pot and stirred in the seasonings. I became more attracted to cooking as I grew older. I help my mom prepare meals and sometimes I even create my own meals.

I started my own business when I was 6 years old in 2006. I bake all natural brownies, cookies and specialty breads and sell them at a local farmers market. Everyone at the market calls me "The Baker Girl." Sometimes, the owner of the market buys my baked goods and eats them for breakfast. Her favorite is the Apple Dapple Bread.
I track how many people buy which type of food to see which food is the most popular. It turns out that my Espresso chocolate chip cookies were last year's most popular. This year I am introducing some new recipes. I'll let you know in a few months what the most popular recipe will be this year at the market.
I watch a lot of cooking shows with my mom like Giada De Laurentiis, (Everyday Italian), Ina Garten, (Barefoot Contessa), Sandra Lee, (Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee), and Alton Brown, (Good Eats). I hope to meet one or maybe all of these people because they have inspired me so much. Thank you Giada, Ina, Sandra, and Alton. I love your shows! They are the best in the world!
This is my joke section. I put these jokes here because I think it's important to laugh every day, and I want to spread the laughter.
Once there was a cabbage who got embarrassed, want to know why?
Because when he opened the door, he saw the salad dressing.
Why did the cantaloupe jump into the water?
Because he wanted to be a watermelon.
I'll be sharing more articles soon!
